Criminal trial
1. Response to criminal trials
Foreigners residing in Korea may also be involved in various crimes such as traffic accidents, drugs, sex crimes, assault, injury, and voice phishing. Since each country has different legal systems, foreigners residing in Korea must be familiar with the laws of the Republic of Korea ( Marijuana is legal in some U.S. states, but illegal in South Korea).
Foreigners living in the Republic of Korea are subject to deportation if they are convicted of a criminal crime. Therefore, in order for these foreigners to continue to stay in the country, they must seek the help of lawyers during the criminal trial process to lower their sentences.
2. Response to criminal damage
If you are a victim of another person's criminal crime while residing in the country, you may request that the investigative agency punish the other person. In the case of victims of property crimes such as fraud or victims of sexual crimes, they can recover the mental and financial damage they have suffered through agreements.
